The aim of the community is to study, practice and make known the religious and cultural teachings of Krishna consciousness (Bhakti-yoga) as they are handed down in the sacred scriptures of India (the Vedas). This includes maintaining the temple, worshiping the Deities of Krishna, conducting the weekly Sunday feast and numerous spiritual festivals. Other activities of the community are temple tours for school classes, Indian-vegetarian cooking courses, a spiritual summer camp and the annual pilgrimage to India.

The community sees itself as part of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) and accepts the guidelines of the GBC (Governing Body Commission of ISKCON).
