Kartika Vrata

Kartik, also known as the month of Damodara, is a month to deepen love for Krishna. It is considered by devotees of Krishna to be the holiest month of the year. During this month, devotees of Krishna take additional vows and perform additional spiritual activities. Krishna is worshipped throughout the month in his form as Damodara - a young boy who was once tied with ropes by his mother Yashoda as punishment for his mischievous childhood pranks.
