Narasimha Caturdasi

This festival is a celebration in remembrance of the Lord as the protector of His devotees and the remover of all obstacles and difficulties on the path of devotion to the Lord. Lord Nrsimhadeva, an incarnation of Lord Krishna, is known for His appearance in the world to save His devotee, the young Prahlada. Daily prayers are offered to Lord Nrsimhadeva in all ISKCON temples. These prayers are followed as protection mantras. Devotees fast on this day until dusk, followed by a feast in His honor.
