Rama Navami

Sri Ramacandra appeared millions of years ago on this planet in Ayodhya, India, and His appearance is celebrated on this day. Rama’s tragic life – the loss of His kingdom, the abduction of His wife Sita, and the inevitable war against the demon king Ravana – is extensively described in the ancient epic "Ramayana." Lord Rama is known for upholding Dharma (righteousness) in all situations He faced. He is considered the ideal king and husband. Devotees fast on this day until noon, followed by a feast in His honor.
