Vamana Dvadasi

Vamanadeva is the dwarf incarnation of Vishnu, who, during His divine pastimes, encompassed the entire universe with just two steps, thereby putting the demon king Bali Maharaja in a difficult position, as Bali had promised Him three paces of land. Bali Maharaja's surrender of himself made him a Mahajana, one of the great personalities in Vedic history. On this day, we remember this story, which is elaborately described in the Bhagavata Purana.
